This should be a no brainer for us all, but how much do we actually DO what I’m about to describe?
As you know, part of my biz involves hooking people up with high-converting webinars from high-integrity marketers, and what two of these clients/friends did for me – and my KIDS – recently only reinforced my commitment to helping them as much as possible.
Check this out…
I answered our doorbell to the mailman with a few packages in his hands about a week or so, ago. This was after Christmas, so I wondered what they could be for.
When I brought them in the house, and opened them up, here’s everything that I saw…
What you’re looking are two separate sets of gifts that happened to show up at my house at the exact same time from two top notch marketers… Rich Schefren and Ty Cohen.
I helped connect Rich with a “JV webinar” this past summer, and I’ve continued to work with his team since that time in various ways… including helping them get JV partners for their “Business Growth System” webinar.
He sent the small box you see at the front of the picture. Here it is a bit bigger…
These are gourmet cookies from Rich (and they are goooooood), and here’s a close up of the personal message that was included…
Notice how you can also use the message you send to get people to a website by visiting the link he included in the message.
Now, as for Ty Cohen, I recently had a conversation with him about hooking him up with JV partners for his “Kindle Cash Flow” webinar, and he asked me (I’m paraphrasing)…
“What’s your address, man? I want to send your boys something cool.”
Well, a week or so later, here’s what arrived…
I’m not sure who was more excited to open these 2 remote control helicopters… my boys or ME!… LOL
Seriously, this was such a cool gesture. He did NOT have to do that… but because he did, that convinced me even more that he’s a good dude, and makes me want to help him even MORE!
Here are Kaden and Kellen with their new, favorite toys (too bad it’s 10 degrees outside and they have to wait til it gets warmer to play with them… haha)…
Now check out the message that came along with Ty’s gifts to my boys…
The truth is that the cookies that Rich sent to me were probably sent to a lot of different people, including JV partners, customers, and the like… but that doesn’t matter at all.
The truth is that the toy helicopters Ty sent to me were also sent to others in much the same way… but that ALSO doesn’t matter to me at all.
What matters to me was the THOUGHT that Rich and Ty each went to the expense of sending out something cool to me – or my kids – when they didn’t need to, and that makes ME want to try harder than I have to hook them up with marketers to promote their webinar(s).
That’s the key takeaway from all of this…
Always be willing to go the extra mile for people, and they will want to do the same for you!
It’s that simple.

Andy,
Thanks for the great tip. Right now I have the names and emails of my affiliates, but I do not have any addresses.
After reading this article I have decided I am going to email my affiliates and ask for their addresses so I can reach out to them and send them something cool in the mail to say thanks.
Moving forward I may integrate an address field into my affiliate sign-up form because I believe it is so important to show appreciation for affiliates and the awesome work they do to help make sales!
Cheers,
Garin
