** Here’s an update on my son Kaden, during our trip to Cleveland for testing for his seizures, as well as an introduction to two special guests who paid him a visit…
What a crazy week.
Been at the Cleveland Clinic since Monday for my son, Kaden’s, seizure testing.
Check out my office for the week…
The kid was kept awake all night Tuesday and Wednesday, so they could hopefully get a seizure out of him in the morning once he finally was allowed to fall asleep (long story)… without food or drink for about 16 hours each day (because of the type of testing being done).
They’re just trying to determine exactly where the seizures are occurring in his brain, so they can recommend a specific course of action… which may include surgery.
Thankfully, he did have a seizure (yes, “thankfully”… because had he not, we’d either have to stay longer until he did, or we’d go home without the doctors getting all of the info they need).
Now we’ll be heading home Saturday morning… after he has an MRI done on Friday (and is put under anesthesia for the 4th day in a row).
2 Special Guests…
During our time in Cleveland, Kaden was visited by two special guests.
His first guest is a very good friend of mine, who I have actually only known for the past year… but when he knew we were coming to Cleveland, he made it a point to pay us a visit.
His name is Ryan Moran, who is an expert at buying & selling websites, and was interviewed in my home a little over a year ago for my “JV Attraction Formula” course (here’s a small segment from that interview).
Here are a few pictures from Ryan’s visit…
I gotta tell ya…
Ryan did something for Kaden in 10 minutes that we were unable to do all week…
Make him LAUGH!
After a week of poking, prodding, sleep deprivation, and a growling stomach, it was heartwarming to see the kid thoroughly enjoying himself for the short amount of time that Ryan was with Kaden.
Once we visited for a while, Ryan and I headed out for some dinner, and enjoyed a great conversation, which I’ll touch on in a later blog post… when I update you guys on the power of building business relationships, getting JV partners, and so on, even when times are tough (like us going to Cleveland).
Kaden’s 2nd special guest arrives…
While Ryan and I were out to eat, I got a text from Susie, asking me who Justin and Paige Elenburg was, because they sent him one of these…
Justin is a good friend and client of mine, and sent Kaden a little gift just to pick up his spirits… a cool little teddy bear holding a crutch, with a cast on one leg.
While Kaden’s not usually into stuffed animals like he used to be… this little bear was the icing on the cake after Ryan’s visit.
I remember back when Kaden started having seizures, it was little furry friends like this that helped make his time at Riley Children’s Hospital a lot more enjoyable, and so I think this little token of love from my buddy, Justin, and his wife, Paige, was the perfect gift at the perfect time.
(SIDENOTE: I’m the JV Manager for Justin’s new launch, which shows people how he’s done $500K+/year from a combination of Mobile + PayPerCall marketing. Check out the “JV attraction funnel” I set up for him here.)
Kaden’s week in review…
All in all… while this week hasn’t been a party, by any means, it’s gone relatively well.
Kaden’s stayed content throughout the week, and never complained once about being tired or being too hungry (the kid’s always hungry, anyway… just like his mom… hehehehe)…
The doctors have seen most of what they were wanting to see, so far, and hopefully that will be the case after his MRI later today, as well.
And most importantly… he was showered in love by two friends – who barely know him – who went out of their way to make a small difference in his life.
I’m so grateful for my friendship with Ryan, Justin, and Paige… but I’m even more grateful that they took the time to reach out to my little dude.
And just so you know, Susie and I are grateful to YOU for caring enough about Kaden to actually read these updates, and those of you (and there are many) who have extended well-wishes and prayers Kaden’s way throughout this ordeal.
Of course… we also appreciate my parents for looking after our 5 year old, Kellen, while we’re away, and to my oldest boy, Korbin, for looking after our chocolate lab, Wrigley, while we’re here.
You all mean everything to us. God has blessed us with wonderful people in our lives.
Warmest regards,
Andy Hussong

P.S. For my marketing friends, stay tuned, as I’ll be sharing some crucial takeaways from this experience very soon… which will help you build stronger relationships with your business contacts for years to come.
P.S.S. I recently created a little 4-part video series, which includes my “Big Gun JV Strategy”, as well as my full video interview with Ryan Moran (who I introduced you to above) and other valuable content. I’ll let you know more about this within the next day or so, as well (you’re gonna LOVE IT!).

Thanks for taking the time to write this update, Andy. We haven’t met yet, but I have 2 young kids myself and I understand how intense it is to face these kinds of issues.
It’s incredible how, as marketers, we get to control so much of our lifestyle, but when it comes to health, we’re at the mercy of medical experts.
It sounds like you’ve got good care and a great network to back you up (what would we do without friends and family?)… my family and me will be sending you positive thoughts form Florida.
All the best,
Kevin

Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes and prayers. Kaden’s a strong kid, and from our time at Riley Children’s Hospital off and on since he was one… we realize that we are VERY fortunate and blessed to that he’s “only” got epilepsy/seizures.
I remember kids who were way worse off than he is, wheeled around in wagons, with their hair gone, suffering from various types of cancer and other diseases. We only wonder how many of those kids are still with us today.
THAT always helps us to keep things in proper perspective.
Continued prayers and well wishes for you and your family bro.
Andy & Susie
