I love kids… LOVE ‘em!
My own 4 sons, all the kids I’ve coached in youth baseball leagues over the years, even the troubled kid who most people shun… but who simply needs someone to believe in him.
Some of my favorite players I ever coached were the ones who needed ME more than I needed them, and it’s gratifying to have them come up and call me coach after all these years… just to say “hi”.
Today, I will be starting my journey as a volunteer with an organization called “Kids’ Hope”, which involves me being paired up with an at-risk child in my community to mentor him for an hour each week at the local elementary school.
