How My Trip Benefits You

by Andy

I’m sitting in the Dallas airport typing this, even though I won’t be able to post this for at least a few hours when I get home (make that a couple DAYS), because my Verizon wireless access isn’t working and I’m too cheap to pay T-Mobile $9, or whatever it is, for a “Day Pass” of I-service, since I’d only use it for like the next 30 minutes, anyway.

(I thought most airports had free Wi-Fi by now. Shows how much I’ve traveled lately)

By the way, you have no idea how tempted I am to walk in the Dallas Cowboys gift shop and ask if they sell any Redskins jerseys. I’m really a Colts fan, but hey… some of my best buddies are ‘boys fans, so it would be cool to do that in their honor. :)

Anyway…

I’m on my way home from Perry Belcher & Ryan Deiss’ event in Austin, and all I can say is that it ROCKED. And I’m not just all hyped up because of the end-of-seminar jollies you feel after everyone pays their usual compliments to the hosts.

No, this event had NOTHING BUT CONTENT. And I don’t mean just basic here’s “what an autoresponder is” type of content, but actual details of exactly what’s been working in their businesses (traffic, conversion, follow up sequences, etc.). And I have to tell you… my hand (and brain) is cramped from all the furious note taking.

Here’s a photo of me rockin’ the Cubbies’ Wrigley Field shirt, along side the hosts, Ryan and Perry…

Plus I was able to reconnect with some old friends of mine, the “King of Sleeping In” (Timothy Black) and his girlfriend, the “Smoking Hot Cigar Chick” (Theresa Merchant). This is us at the event…

I was also able to reconnect with several other marketing friends of mine (you know who you are), as well as finally meet some others I’d known for quite some time, but hadn’t met in person, yet.

What this all means for you…

So what’s this got to do with YOU and affiliate management?

The cool thing is that they also shared some golden nuggets of things they do for their affiliates (see my note at the bottom of this post) but better yet… I was fortunate to become friends with the two guys who work behind the scenes for them, handling all of their affiliate promotions and so on.

Although nothing’s set in stone at this point, in terms of actual dates/times, I brought up the idea of interviewing them to find out some of the strategies they’re using (or have used over the years) to maximize THEIR affiliate program, and they were all for it.

So stay tuned for details, because even though I’m not allowed to share specific info I learned from Ryan & Perry during the seminar, itself (I can’t publicly reveal ANYTHING that was revealed during that event in a public forum without their permission… only during 1-on-1 consultation), there’s not a doubt in my mind that the interview I have in store for you will ROCK! :)
